Born in Sweden with Iraqi heritage and based in the United Kingdom, Ali has a diverse cultural background combined with extensive industry experience. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production from the University of Portsmouth and a Master of Arts in Creative Business from the National Film and Television School. His dissertation on the global marketing influence of Afrobeats attracted the British Film Institute’s attention and was developed into a book now housed at the BFI Reuben Library.
Ali’s portfolio features high-profile work with Aston Martin at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Mexico City, Netflix’s Arcane, and Disney’s The Lion King: Mufasa. He has played a key role in world premieres and red-carpet moments in Hollywood, working closely with industry leaders to enhance brand presence and cultural impact. His work has been recognised by institutions including the BBC, Channel 4, Deadline, Essence Magazine, the Royal Television Society, and the British Film Institute.
He has delivered strategic content for leading brands such as BMW, Pinterest, Virgin Atlantic, ASOS, HBO, and Sephora, supporting major campaigns and global launches. Ali has also partnered with influential figures, including Spike Lee, Jordan Peele, and Yvonne Orji, alongside internationally acclaimed artists like Wizkid and Davido.
